Our firm has specific expertise in open source software issues. We represent the Forum for Online Freedom, an open source activist organization, and advise companies on compliance with open source licenses in the context of their ongoing development issues, and in the context of acquisition. We advise on “best practices” to obtain the benefits of working with open source software, while avoiding issues such as being required to disclose source code for proprietary software.
