The members of the IP Litigation Group are experienced in providing guidance and advice as to the best and most cost-effective course to protect and enforce these valuable assets. The firm works with its clients to seek a comprehensive solution to the protection and enforcement of their intellectual property assets.
The IP Litigation Group is experienced in registering and enforcing intellectual property rights, and its members have represented international and Israeli clients (including Fortune® 500 companies) in numerous legal actions related to infringement of patents, trademarks, copyrights, designs and other rights in various courts and jurisdictions, as well as opposition and cancellation proceedings at the Israeli Patents, Designs and Trademarks Office.
Dr. Yoav Oestreicher has primary responsibility for the firm’s IP Litigation Group. Dr. Oestreicher also teaches intellectual property law at Bar-Ilan and Haifa Universities, and was involved in many of the most important patent, trademark and copyright cases litigated in Israel in recent years, including infringement claims involving a wide variety of industries, such as pharmaceuticals, technology, bio-technology, chemistry, telecommunications and engineering, and the protection of the brand names of clients in different industries, such as food and beverages, agriculture and the Internet.
The IP Litigation Group also provides registration and prosecution services to its clients, as well as opinions related to infringement and validity of intellectual property rights for offensive and defensive purposes, and works closely with the Technology Group, headed by David Mirchin, on licensing transactions and all other intellectual property related services.
