The Hotels and Leisure practice also provides legal services in the field of food and beverage management (including outsourcing agreements, licensing agreements, and agreements for F&B consulting and operation of F&B departments in hotels, restaurants and bars).

Meitar’s specialized Hotels and Leisure team has over 30 years of experience representing companies engaged in the industry, and provides its clientele with unrivaled legal services in drafting and negotiating hotel purchase agreements, hotel management agreements, lease and operating agreements, franchise and license agreements, hotel room pooling agreements, leaseback agreements and maintenance agreements for mixed-use buildings combining a hotel with residential or commercial spaces. Meitar’s specialized Hotels and Leisure team also deals with F&B outsourcing agreements for hotels as well as operation agreements for restaurants, bars, function halls and culinary initiatives.

Our lawyers have extensive experience working with the relevant governmental authorities, including the Ministry of Tourism, local licensing authorities, municipalities, the Israel Land Authority, and the local building and planning authorities.

Representative experience

  • Representing Modani Spa Resort Ltd. in connection with a management agreement with Dan Hotels Ltd.
  • Representing Golden Beach Company Limited (a Vietnamese company) of the Radco Investments Group Ltd., which is establishing a 213-room luxury resort hotel in Nha Trang in Vietnam, in a management agreement with Accor for the management of a Sofitel hotel; and advising on an agreement for the management of apartments next to the hotel as branded residences.
  • Ongoing legal advice to the Tamares Hotel Group (Daniel and West Hotels).
  • Handling of an operating lease between Acro Tel Aviv 1 Ltd., Shevet Moshe Properties Ltd. and the tenant – Elco Hospitality LP– in connection with a 180-room hotel in the Alpha Tower in the Hassan Arafe complex in Tel Aviv.
  • Representing Negev & Galilee Ltd. in a management agreement with Six Senses (an international luxury brand of ecological and sustainable resort hotels) in connection with the Shaharut Hotel (at Mitzpe Shaharut in the Negev) as well as ongoing legal advice in connection with the hotel’s pre-opening and opening procedures.
  • Representing Swandor Hotel Management Limited (a Turkish company) in a lease agreement with Laxan Israel Ltd. (from the Nitsba Group), according to which Laxan will lease the Eilat Princess Hotel to Swandor for a period of 10 years; and ongoing advice to Swandor in connection with the hotel’s opening and operation.
  • Representing InterContinental Hotels (from the IHG Group) in connection with a hotel management agreement in respect of the InterContinental Hotel in Jerusalem, and in connection with a set of agreements with owners and buyers of apartments in the project.
  • Representing Easymalon Ltd in a franchise agreement and exclusivity agreement with easyHotel PLC to open easyHotel hotels in Tel Aviv.
  • Representing North Beach Hotels Ltd. in a management agreement with French company Accor, for the management of a 260-room hotel under the Pullman brand in Mevaseret Zion.
  • Representing Delek Group in a transaction with Fattal Hotels Ltd., for the construction of a Fattal hotel in Herzliya in a building owned by Delek.
  • Representing S. Hasid Construction and Development Co. Ltd in a management agreement with the French company Accor, for the management of the MGallery Hotel which the company is building opposite the Jerusalem Theater; and handling the branded residences agreements in connection with the hotel.
