Adi Koppel-Aviv is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Group.

Adi specializes in administrative, civil and commercial litigation, including large-scale class actions. Her practice focuses on representing local and international clients in various disputes relating to corporate, commercial, securities and administrative law. Additionally, Adi has extensive experience in representing corporate directors and officers in derivative actions.

Prior to joining Meitar, Adi served as a law clerk to Professor Aharon Barak, former president of the Supreme Court of Israel.

• Representation of the Israel Bar Association in a petition to the High Court of Justice challenging the abolition of the reasonableness doctrine. The petition was heard by an expanded panel of 15 justices, and the Supreme Court upheld the petition by majority opinion.
• Representation of the Israel Bar Association in a petition to the High Court of Justice challenging the dismissal of the Attorney General. The Supreme Court unanimously upheld the petition, sitting as an expanded panel of seven justices.
• Representation of the Israel Bar Association in a petition to the High Court of Justice concerning changes to the composition of the Judicial Selection Committee.
• Representation of stock exchange members and investment companies in civil litigation and class actions relating to securities trading in Israel and abroad.
• Representation of stock exchange members in administrative and criminal enforcement proceedings under the Israeli Securities Law, 1968.
• Representation of shareholders in complex shareholder disputes.
• Representation of a biotechnology company in an accounting claim, alleging breach of a scientific collaboration agreement and unlawful use of research outputs for profit.
• Representation of insurance companies in civil litigation and class actions concerning denial of insurance coverage.
• Representation of a public company in claims against foreign banks, auditors, and former directors, alleging negligence that enabled the unlawful extraction of approximately NIS 162 million by the controlling shareholder.
• Representation of Bank Leumi in a dispute with minority shareholders of an Israeli Arab bank, in the context of merger proceedings between the banks.
• Representation of the trustee of the debt arrangement of the Feuchtwanger Industries Group in an appeal against a judgment in a NIS 92 million claim against former directors, officers, and the controlling shareholder.
• Representation of Bazan Group in a motion to certify a class action in an amount of approximately NIS 14 billion, on behalf of residents of the Haifa Bay area, alleging violation of autonomy due to air pollution and increased health risks.
