Meitar’s international arbitration team serves as counsel in numerous complex, large-dollar-amount commercial arbitrations. Regularly recognized as a leading international arbitration practice, Meitar has handled international disputes for Israeli and foreign clients in various jurisdictions and across many industries, including foodtech, medical equipment, aerospace, infrastructure projects, aviation, oil and gas and M&A related disputes. The team has handled arbitrations in Israel, in the UK, the Netherlands, New York, Paris and Switzerland. It regularly handles ad-hoc arbitrations as well as arbitrations administered by all major arbitral institutions, such as the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Center for Arbitration and Dispute Resolution, the Israeli Institute of Commercial Arbitration, the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the Swiss Arbitration Centre and the American Arbitration Association.

Dr. Israel (Reli) Leshem and Eyal Rosovsky, the Group’s heads, are regularly appointed as arbitrators in complex, high-scale commercial disputes (domestic and cross-border) and Or Baron Gil, a partner, serves as a member of the ICC Court, representing Israel.

  • Representation of a leading metals manufacturer in an arbitration against the Government of India.
  • Representation of one of Israel’s largest telecommunications companies in an international ICC arbitration in Luxembourg with Telecom Italia.
  • Representation of Notal Vision, an Israeli technology start-up, in an international arbitration regarding a major contractual dispute with its distributor, Carl Zeiss, a leading seller of optic products.
  • Representing an Israeli high tech company in a multi-million dollar ICC arbitration in the Netherlands.
  • Representing (together with U.S. Counsel) a dual-listed public company in an ICDR arbitration in New York.
