Our team

Uri Harel is a Senior Associate in the firm’s litigation department.
He specializes in complex litigation cases in a variety of areas, including administrative law, corporate law, contract law and class actions.

Prior to joining Meitar, Uri served as the Chief of Staff and Senior Adviser to the President of the Supreme Court of Israel, the Honorable Justice Esther Hayut, previously serving as her law clerk.

In his various roles in the court system, Uri served as Co-Chair of the inter-ministerial team examining state institutionalization of community courts, Secretary of the Judges’ Ethics Committee, Assistant to the Chairman of the 21st Knesset Elections Committee and Secretary of the senior review team that examined the systemic aspects of the work interface between judges hearing the pre-indictment applications and the prosecution. In these capacities, Uri wrote legal opinions in all fields of law in proceedings heard by the Supreme Court.

Prior to his work in the Supreme Court, Uri worked as an attorney in the field of commercial litigation and served as a law clerk to the State Attorney, Adv. Moshe Lador. Uri has also served as a teaching assistant in the Faculty of Law at Reichman University, teaching courses in property law and administrative law and as a research assistant in the fields of corporate law and securities.
