Biography
David Chertok is a partner in Meitar’s Corporate and Securities Group and Technology Group.
David acts for his clients in a variety of cross-border and domestic corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings (including both public offerings and private placements), corporate restructurings, divestitures, joint ventures and hybrid strategic partnering arrangements. In addition, David’s clients include a number of companies in the hi-tech and life science sectors; David has been actively involved with these clients in many aspects of their business, be it commercial, licensing and strategic agreements, equity and debt financing agreements and acquisition transactions.
David regularly represents the interests of multinational corporations, private equity and venture capital funds on mergers and acquisitions, investments and strategic partnering arrangements as well as on general corporate matters. David has worked on behalf of issuers and underwriters in connection with public offerings on the US, UK and Israeli stock exchanges and markets and on other matters of securities laws.
David regularly acts for fund managers as well as institutional and high net-worth investors in connection with the formation of international and domestic private equity, venture capital and hybrid funds as well as the formation of more innovative investment vehicles, in diverse regions and industries.
David also advises on corporate governance matters and shareholder affairs and disputes, and has served as an expert witness on certain matters of Israeli law in US courts.
