Japan Practice 日本での仕事
In recent years there has been a dramatic increase in trade and economic relations between Japan and Israel, which has included a flow of direct investments in Israeli high-tech companies, major Japanese companies establishing a presence and operations in Israel and a substantial growth in the bilateral trade between Israel and Japan.
Meitar, as the largest law firm in Israel and Israel’s leading international law firm, has become an active player in this scene, leveraging our three decades of proven experience in bridging the geographic and cultural divide between Israel and Asia. Our hands-on experience and wide network allows us to assist Japanese entities doing business, or wishing to do business, in Israel and to help them expand their economic and commercial ties in the region.
Our track record of successful transactions includes representing Japanese investors in investments in Israeli technology companies, in listing the first Japanese company on the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange and in establishing Israeli investment funds, as well as representing Israeli companies in transactions with Japanese entities, including investments, M&A transactions, joint ventures and other commercial agreements.
To ensure that our clients receive the local professional assistance they need in certain cases, we have established cooperation arrangements with leading law firms in Japan. In addition, we recently hosted a Japanese visiting attorney on secondment from one of the top law firms in Tokyo.
