Tali Yavin-Surasky is a partner in the firm’s Technology and Intellectual Property Group and leads the firm’s Israel privacy and data protection practice.

With more than 20 years of experience advising leading Israeli and multinational companies in the high-tech, cyber security, life sciences and pharmaceuticals, financial services and fintech, and e-commerce sectors, Tali is known for pragmatic, business-oriented counsel on complex, technology-driven matters. Her practice covers a broad range of transactions, including strategic commercial agreements, development and collaboration arrangements, distribution frameworks, and other sophisticated commercial contracts, as well as advertising and consumer protection matters.

Tali is widely recognized in Israel as a go-to advisor on privacy, data protection, and data security. She regularly advises some of the Israeli market’s most significant companies on end-to-end privacy compliance and governance, including privacy-by-design programs, vendor and data processing arrangements (including DPAs and security addenda), cross-border data transfers, and incident preparedness and response. Her work also includes privacy gap assessments and remediation, data mapping and retention programs, support on data subject requests, and implementation of privacy and security controls across product and business operations.

Tali also supports privacy and data protection aspects in corporate and commercial transactions, including privacy due diligence in M&A and strategic investments, negotiation of data-related deal terms, and structuring data sharing and data commercialization arrangements. She advises on data-driven business models, including AI governance and privacy-by-design for AI-enabled products, digital health and life sciences data use, and fintech and e-commerce platforms.
