Livian Segal is a partner in the firm’s litigation group, representing both foreign and domestic clients in complex commercial and contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, and corporate litigation, including class and derivative actions, as well as complex and sensitive white-collar criminal matters.

With more than 25 years of litigation experience, Livian combines a results-oriented approach with strategic vision, creativity, and sharp legal acumen. He regularly appears before courts and tribunals at all levels, as well as in arbitration and mediation proceedings. His comprehensive practice also extends to cases in tort, administrative law, securities, defamation, labor law, and environmental issues.

As part of his work in Artificial Intelligence and law, Livian specializes in issues relating to AI legal liability, AI ethics, and regulation. Together with Adv. Gidi Frishtik, Livian was among the major drafters of the Israeli Bar Association Ethics Committee’s opinions regarding the responsible use of AI tools by lawyers. Livian serves as co-chair of the Israeli Bar Association’s “Artificial Intelligence in the Legal World” Committee . In addition, he is a member of the Animal Experimentation Council at the Ministry of Health and formerly served on the management committee of Tebbeka, an organization promoting justice for Ethiopian immigrants in Israel.

Livian also serves as an arbitrator and, together with Adv. Yossi Abadi, is a co-founder of Meitar’s Center for Fast Arbitration.

Together with Adv. Eyal Rosovsky, Livian teaches the course “The Secrets of Litigation” at the Hebrew University Faculty of Law in Jerusalem.

At the beginning of his career, Livian served as a law clerk to Hon. Justice Ayala Procaccia at the Supreme Court of Israel.
