    Biography

    David Shulchani is a Partner in the firm’s Technology Group.

    David represents and supports leading startups in the Technology, Healthcare, Pharma, Biotech, Life Sciences, FoodTech, Climate Tech, and Cybersecurity sectors. With over a decade of experience, David’s practice focuses on complex technology transactions and the commercialization of intellectual property. David is skilled in creating licensing agreements and setting up the legal foundations for new entities, newly established entities from universities and medical centers. He is also experienced in government incentive programs, including those the Israel Innovation Authority and the EU’s Horizon Europe.

    David supports the strategic growth and innovation of companies by developing strong strategic partnerships, advising on corporate governance, and supporting clients on complex business transactions, and guiding them through all stages of their business development. David collaborates closely with entrepreneurs, providing strategic insights to empower them in making pivotal business decisions and achieving sustainable growth. His expertise encompasses negotiating and drafting a wide range of agreements, including research and development, clinical trials, licensing, manufacturing, distribution, supply, OEM arrangements, SaaS, and agreements related to software, digital and online services (such as terms of use/service, privacy policies, and end-user license agreements), among others.

    Before joining Meitar, David was the legal counsel for the Technion Research and Development Foundation, the commercial arm of the Technion Israel Institute of Technology. In this role, he supported research initiatives and commercialization efforts, contributing to the successful progress of various projects and enhancing collaboration between academic and industry partners.
