Our team

Asaf Niemoj is a Partner in Meitar’s Dispute Resolution Group, specializing in international arbitration and cross-border litigation. He represents Israeli and international clients in complex commercial disputes, including those arising from M&A transactions, shareholder and partnership disputes, and disputes in the technology, medical devices, energy (including oil and gas), and infrastructure sectors.

Asaf has represented clients in international arbitrations under the rules of the world’s leading arbitral institutions, including the AAA, ICDR, ICC, SIAC, LCIA, CIArb and the Swiss Arbitration Centre. These proceedings have been seated in a range of jurisdictions, including New York, London, Delaware, Singapore and South Africa. They have been governed by a variety of laws, including Israeli, English, New York, Delaware, British Virgin Islands (BVI) and Cayman Islands law.

Before joining Meitar, Asaf spent five years in London. During that time, he worked in the London office of a leading global law firm, conducted research in dispute resolution and international arbitration at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL), and taught postgraduate courses in international commercial litigation and international arbitration at the University of Bedfordshire.

Asaf is a founding member of the Israeli Forum for International Arbitration (IFIA) and sits on the panel of arbitrators of the Israeli Institute for Commercial Arbitration (IICA). He is also a member of the International Arbitration Roundtable Forum of the Legal Counsel and Legislation Department (International Law) at the Israeli Ministry of Justice, and he was involved in the development of the International Commercial Arbitration Law, 2024. Asaf lectures regularly on arbitration and has published articles in the field, including in the ICSID Review.
