Sivan Atiram is a partner in the firm’s Banking and Finance Group.

Sivan specializes in the field of banking and finance and has extensive experience in representing financial institutions, such as banks and insurance companies in a wide range of complex high-value financing transactions, including real estate financing transactions, re-organization of debts and sales of credit portfolios. Sivan also advises various banking and financial institutions in matters relating to regulatory issues. In recent years Sivan has been involved in financing transactions for the purchase of some of the largest companies in the Israeli market.

Before joining Meitar, Sivan served as an assistant lecturer in criminal law at Bar-Ilan University and as chief student editor of Tel Aviv University Law Review (“Iyunei Mishpat”).

• Representing Israel Discount Bank Ltd. in a NIS 570 million finance agreement for the acquisition of control stake in Clal Industries by Len Blavatnik.
• Representing Union Bank of Israel Ltd. in several transactions for the purchase of loans from Direct Financing of IDI Group (2006) Ltd., in a total amount of NIS 1 billion.
• Advising in the merger between Bank Leumi Le-Israel B.M and Leumi Mortgage Bank Ltd.
• Representing Darban Investments Ltd. in a NIS 235 million loan agreement from financial institutions from the Clal Insurance Group.
